The new company is called Activision Blizzard and is headed by Activision's former CEO, Robert Kotick. Vivendi is the biggest shareholder in the new group. The new company is estimated to be worth $18.9 billion, ahead of Electronic Arts who is valued at $14.1 billion. Blizzard, would jump your minds to titles like World of Warcraft, Warcraft and Starcraft 1, 2 and so on.

Treyarch
Teyarch Corporation is an American video game developer company, founded in 1996 by Peter Akemann and Doğan Köslü. Acquired by Activision in 2001. It is located in Santa Monica, California. In 2005, Gray Matter Interactive was merged into Treyarch.

Infinity Ward
Infinity Ward, located in Encino, California, is an American video game developer founded in 2002 by 22 former employees of 2015, Inc., including the project leads who had worked on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. The company was acquired by Activision in October 2003, and currently consists of nearly 100 employees. Activision owns IW.

Call of Duty Facts
- Infinity Ward were the developers behind the most successful installments of the CoD series. Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

- This can be attributed to the storyline of SP, most recently Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which received rave reviews.

- MP content has gradually been degrading as IW turns its attention towards satisfying the console market through unlock able content and rewards.

- Treyarch were the developers behind console focused and driven Call of Duty series releases. Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty: World at War

A lot of writing Joker any chance of dancing girls in one corner so I can concentrate long enough to read it all before I write something vaguely amusing (to me as I write it but some how lost In translation into the modern tongue(and yes I do type with my tongue sometimes but only after I have cleaned my keyboard that I also do occasionally)).Maybe we could ask for Ozangel to do an avatar of herself dancing? We all know how she loves to dance and we all know that we like to watch, ok now I may have gone too far, sure I could delete but that wouldnt be being honest to myself and others who should see me as I really am, not some edited role model that I can't live up to and anyway it shouldnt be about me or my new hair cut, oh I didnt mention I got my hair cut, nice barbar new to me but he's been around a while. Any way just wanted to say thanks Joker for this and the opportunity to add to it in my small, very small way.
Cheese anybody? Or should I say anyone got any? Chedder if possible but I will take any right now, I mean NOW. now? or what about now?

....me too. What was that? Oh yes. The voices in my head would like some as well also.

I did this becoz -
a. I was bored at work.
b. Depending on who the developer was, correlated directly to the success of that CoD installlment.
c. I was bored at work.

When Treyarch make a game, it is with consolers in mind. When IW make one, the SP content is awesome, and the MP content as well. But after the aquisition of Treyarch by Activision, IW now focus in a similar method in approaching and development MP content to Treyarch. Point and case of CoD4.

Now I dont know about the rest of you. But I dislike CoD5 immensely. It isnt smooth. And recently I played CoD4 on a PS3 online. Now it worked well. If you remember back to playing CoD4 - sniper rifles and acog scopes were pretty useless because you would be taken out by an M4 or an M16. In CoD4 the resolution is static, it cannot be altered, and as a result there was a blur effect that took place when you were attempting to focus using an iron sight or red dot past a certain distance. This meant that aiming was made difficult unless you used a sniper scope or acog scope. When using one of the two, you could easily see past a certain distance.

This is how CoD4 was meant to be, but, through poor development or foresight, the forced blur effect did not take place in CoD4, and as a result, the long range weapons and scope were made rather useless to the common player. Why? I could speculate that Activision or Treyarch influenced IW to create MP to their specifications, or, the development was done completely on console programming and altered to suit PC at an after thought.

One thing is for certain though, CoD5 was an after thought for PC. And it is also, in my book, the poorest storyline to follow and most boring SP in the franchise.

ps. If Hans Zimmer is doing the music for CoD6. Prepare for the SP content to be fkn harcore kick ass Platoon meets last Samurai meets Armaggedon, meets every other music he's soundtracked for. Its gonna be kickass.

Well it`s good to see you getting back into it m8, for me, it will have to really be over the top. From what iv`e seen, i`m afraid it`s just another Cod 4, nothing extra, nothing added, nothing changes, and until it does
then the game will continue to be for ever on a downward trend. I think for me the worst thing i did was to become an admin, and get involved in the running of the game, instead of just playing the bloody thing.
